Vogue Knitting Late Winter 2017 is out and this issue gives more than just a nod to Canada, looking at the Cowichan tradition and has a Made In Canada guide.
One trend that’s influencing knits this season is marled color effects, as portrayed in my pic for this week. Designed by Deborah Newton in Cascade’s Heritage 150. A marl effect creates a “tweed-like” look made by using spun, marled yarn. Better yet is to blend two or more strands together – solid colors work well to create your own colorful effects. This issue of Vogue Knitting is well worth the $9.
